Jeanifer and Jason’s Hobart Elopement at Corinda Collection
A Hobart Tasmania Elopement with Sunshine, Snow..... and a very well-trained roadie named Hubby Deft.
Eloping in Hobart
Thinking about eloping in Hobart or planning a Tasmanian mini-moon wedding? I create relaxed, personalised elopements across Hobart and southern Tasmania. Making it easy to celebrate your way in a place you’ll never forget.
Curious about a four-day Tasmanian trip? Jeanifer and Jason have the perfect answer: a Hobart mini-vay-cay marriage!
Their Hobart elopement at The Corinda Collection had romance, sunshine, snow, burgers, and mountain tops.
Travelling to Hobart for the Very First Time
Jeanifer and Jason chose to elope in Hobart with a celebration that felt relaxed, meaningful and completely them. They were only in town for four days, so this was very much a quick visit, making the most of every moment….. and then some.
They married in the gardens at The Corinda Collection in the heart of Hobart’s CBD. Blue skies and spring blooms surrounded them, creating a calm, tucked-away feeling that Corinda does so well.
Along the way….. Jeanifer’s infectious personality was always full of excitement..... and then….. the much-anticipated day finally arrived!
First Looks, Aisle Moments, and Compromises
Before the ceremony, Jeanifer and Jason had a first look in the gardens. It was a quiet and emotional moment for them. Jeanifer wanted an aisle entry. When I first spoke with them, Jason was unsure. And so, they found a compromise and did both.
Marriage is all about compromise, right? And their ceremony showed that. They mixed tradition with modern elopement simplicity. They focused on what mattered and left the rest behind.
Family From Afar
Jeanifer’s family live in the Philippines, and she hadn’t been home for several years. Jason had talked to them a lot over video calls. Their elopement was super intimate and special because he wouldn’t meet her family face-to-face until after they got married when they travelled for their honeymoon.
Because of that, having the ceremony filmed by Mozoph Weddings was really important. And so, I asked Jeanifer and Jason to wave at the camera. Ensuring, their family and friends would feel included when they watched later. It might seem like a small moment, but it would mean a lot.
They shared personal vows and exchanged rings. Then, they made it official and sealed the deal with that "just #hitchedbylush" kiss. Followed by big energy from videographer Gi, photographer James, roadie Deft..... and of course, celebrant me….. who needs a big crowd when you have us!

Rings, Paperwork & One Very Capable Elopement Roadie
Behind the scenes, my hubby….. affectionately known on wedding days as Roadie Deft - was in his element.
Ceremony music? Downloaded and perfectly timed.
Ring bearer? Nailed it.
Vow folder delivery..... as efficient as ever….. he’s so well trained.
When it was time to sign the paperwork, photographer Gi and the Deft covered as their legal witnesses. Elopements truly require teamwork, and this one..... again..... seamless.
From Waterfront Burgers to Snow on the Mountain
Once married, Jeanifer and Jason headed down to the Hobart waterfront for a relaxed bite at Billie’s Burgers, still glowing with those just married feels. Then came more Hobart adventure.....
…..on the drive-up Mount Wellington / kunanyi, they stopped in a bush clearing for photos before continuing to the summit, where it was snowing.
YES..... you heard me! It was…..SNOWING!!! Just two hours earlier they’d been married in complete garden sunshine. All four seasons in one day? Yep, soooo very Tasmania.
A pretty impressive effort for a four-day visit, don’t you think?
